I have been going here since I was a child. Things have changed though. Disappointed with the hot dogs this time.
Good, but expensive for nothing. Too expensive for fast food. Small poutine with brown sauce + can of liqueur + homemade hamburger = $ 13.25 No taxes. Payable cash only.
Since Monique sold it's more like
awesome food hole in the wall
best fast food around!! poutine is very good
Very delicious poutine
A historic place. ... and yes potato and hot dogAnd poutine for more than 60 years
I finally tried this place after living beside it for over 20 years! Wow was I ever missing something. Their poutine is out of this world. At first I thought "too much sauce", as I don't like having a soup of sauce and cheese at the bottom of container at end. This was not the case. Their sauce is very thick and almost sits on top of the poutine. I'm gonna go back. The hot dogs were a little too much on the onion side, so I'd suggest to go easy on onions next time.
Used to be decent value, now overpriced. French fries were undercooked and found z hair in it! Last time for my family..
Fries as in time remind me of memories of youth
Lovely burgers
Up for sale
I advise you to remove your BBQ Poutine sauce from your menu. It does not taste the BBQ at all. I had the impression of having emptied a complete salt shaker in the mouth at the first bite. And we are constantly not wasps not wasps ... really not pleasant.
It's zero
As a longtime local fan of Chez Monique, I was sad to see the original owners selling their establishment last year. Unfortunately, a bit more than the original charm was lost in the transaction as the food quality also seems to have dropped. Some hotdog buns were moldy, which sent the entire dinner to the trash. While this may have only been a one-off unfortunate event, we have not returned since.
Very good place now renovated price ok nice place went when it is super nice
Ok .. no more than that.
Beautiful place, very typical "potato stands". Best poutine on the south shore of Montreal! Too bad they close for the winter on September 1st ...
Great service and not too expensive
Cordial
Good fries wow good snack
I randomly stopped here for a quick bite and was really impressed. Poutine was great. Cheese, sauce and fries were excellent.
Delicious poutine
The food is very good but the quality of the establishment is not incredible
This year again 3x + 2x in 2018, I ran into being told that they are closed, terrace 50 ‰ filled with customers, before 20hrs, beautiful evening, 23c without winds to make me say they have more food ???? What's going on at Monique ??? This trade displays for sale all winter but re-opens in the spring. If you have more stock ... Stay closed. But their poutine is good. When they have potatoes :( Very bad management of this establishment.
Good service great food...
Great food! Very nice...
The poutine is just Miiiiiiam! 😍😍😍
Food fast food correct but it was already better a few years ago very nice staffBy cons it is very generous in cheese in their Putin
Wow this is good
The service is very long +/- 25 min waiting. Rondelle of onions all soft. Lack of taste for hot dogs. Really worse since the arrival of the new owners. Pity!!
A real nice little canteen! Nice and smiling staff! Really cheap ($ 13 my son and I) a lot of picnics table with umbrella (I liked that the tables were not wooden all magan). I recommend for a fast food craving while encouraging a small business!
much good
30 minutes for a poutine is completely absurd! The least thing would have been to warn us before payment that the wait would be so long. Price a bit high.
Since the business was sold it looks like the sauce is not the same and what about the prices that have skyrocketed for cleanliness well done as well as the small change in decor
Good and fast.
Great place to eat. Loved it!
Courteous service and efficient quality food and tastes very good canteen.
The best fastfood old style. My discovery 2019. The prices are excellent and the food super good. The poutine sauce is really good. And what about the super waitress service always with a smile. I love this place so much that I go back every week.
A real canteen serving steamed or toasted hot dogs, hamburgers, French Fries, Putin etc. Outside tables only. Parking on the street. Open only in the summer.A real canteen serving steamed or toasted hot dogs, hamburgers, poutines, french fries, etc. Outdoor picnic tables. Parking on the street. Open summer only.
I have been coming here for years. At noon I found that my burger had a funny taste (the meat smelled really bad), and in the evening it did not fail: I was sick. It may be a simple coincidence, but it does not want to go back. The only good news is that you can pay by card! Enjoy your meal
Boff taste. Price too expensive for the quality. There are some who adore, we don't.
I was sick in the hour following the meal in the canteen, indigestion for 36 hours ...
A classic in hot dog and poutine place in the south shore. Très bon!
Hotdogs are awesome!!!
2nd visit to this restaurant. The first is a +. The second really disappointed ... 20 mins to wait for my poutine and a hair inside.
Prices have risen considerably. But it's still good.
A must
Home style food and atmosphere
Good fries, nice poutine, varied trios, impeccable service!
